Webinar Replay– Addressing the Health Care Needs of People with I/DD

This webinar was held on February 12, 2026.

People with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD) experience significant health disparities and often face barriers to accessing high-quality, inclusive care. This webinar, Addressing the Health Care Needs of People with I/DD, explored the unique and complex health needs of this population and examined how health systems can better respond through innovative, equitable care models.

Participants gained an overview of the physical, behavioral, and social health needs of people with I/DD, learned about key elements of clinical care models that foster inclusive and supportive health care environments, and heard expert discussion on how coverage and payment strategies can serve as powerful drivers to expand access to affordable, high-quality care. Together, these insights highlighted opportunities to strengthen health care delivery and promote better outcomes for people with I/DD.
