Shannon Rohn Deere is a director based in Leavitt Partners’ Washington, D.C., office. She provides federal policy counsel and analysis to clients and manages multi-sector alliances, bringing expertise in coverage and payment focused primarily on Medicare, Medicaid, the dual eligible population, the 340B program, and other drug pricing issues.
Prior to joining Leavitt Partners, an HMA Company, Shannon worked as a senior health care analyst at Ripple Effect Communications where she reviewed public comments from various physician associations and individual physicians on CMS proposed Medicare regulations. She also served as a researcher for Professor Sara Rosenbaum at The George Washington University Law School, where she analyzed the Trump administration’s Medicaid demonstration waivers related to work requirements and eligibility, the administration’s managed care regulations, and reforms pertaining to Medicaid and public charge. Prior to these roles, she represented hospital systems in Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement matters in private law practice.
Shannon received her Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from Marquette University in political science and sociology and her J.D. with honors from The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C.
