Leavitt Partners, an HMA Company, is pleased to welcome Kim Boyd to the company’s team of digital health experts. She will serve as a principal with the Washington, DC office, and as a resident of Nashville, Tennessee will have close ties with HMA’s Nashville office.
Kim has extensive experience in health IT, having served as a trusted leader in building and executing strategies and advising diverse industry stakeholders on health IT policy, standards, and implementation. She previously served as the vice president of industry relations and government affairs at CoverMyMeds/McKesson, where she facilitated policy and standards advancement for real-time prescription benefit pricing transparency, prior authorization, and specialty pharmacy services. She also advised and educated federal and state healthcare agencies, legislators, and policymakers related to prior authorization legislation and regulation that affected a broad range of healthcare markets including commercial, Managed Care Organizations, Medicare, and Medicaid.
Additionally, for over 20 years Kim has been an active member of the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP), the ANSI-accredited standards development organization focused on interoperable pharmacy standards. She serves on NCPDP’s Board of Trustees, is chair of the Strategic Planning Committee, and was the former work group chair for WG11 ePrescribing and Related Transactions as well as a task group lead for the Prior Authorization Workflow to Transaction task group. She has held other notable NCPDP roles on the Finance, Annual Conference, By-Law, Mentor/Mentee Committees.

Kim will support current digital health transformation projects, including state-based convenings, focused federal interoperability efforts and national convenings focused on various industry data needs.
