Laura Brown is a food and drug attorney who leverages her 10-plus years of legal analytic experience to provide federal policy counsel and analysis to clients and support multi-sector alliances. Her areas of focus include Food and Drug Administration regulation, digital health, public health and the environment, and administrative procedure.

Before joining Leavitt Partners, an HMA Company, Ms. Brown served as the director of educational programs at the Food and Drug Law Institute (FDLI). She led the team developing FDLI’s conferences, educational programs, and webinars addressing all areas of food and drug law. She worked frequently with a variety of industry stakeholders, as well as those from the Food and Drug Administration, Department of Justice, and Federal Trade Commission. She was the assistant director of educational programs where her main areas of focus were food safety, food advertising, labeling, litigation, and enforcement.

Ms. Brown previously worked as a legal analyst for Spark Policy Institute and was a legislative fellow for Colorado Senator Irene Aguilar.

She earned her juris doctor degree from the University of Colorado Law School and her bachelor’s degrees in political science and ecosystem science and policy from the University of Miami.
