All Speakers

Our experts regularly speak on a number of current topics including facilitation and moderation to drive decision-making, the evolving health care landscape, policy perspectives on health care, and improving health (from prevention to management). The following provides more detail.

  • Facilitation and Moderating to Drive Decision-Making: A good moderator can make or break your meeting—whether it’s a robust stakeholder discussion, a board retreat to explore difficult issues, or a multi-part education program. Facilitating productive discussions is at the core of practice at LP, and our ability to pair it with deep health policy expertise enhances our ability to drive meetings to meaningful conclusions and a path for change management. We understand that meeting facilitation is much more than simply managing “microphone time”—it is about engaging participants, challenging participants to think creatively, find consensus, and drive the dialogue to action.
  • The Evolving Health Care Landscape: The American health care marketplace is rapidly changing:  the nation is roughly 25 years into a 40-year transformation period away from fee-for-service payment. But, challenges and questions remain as providers, payers, health IT vendors, and other key stakeholders continue to experiment with coordinated care models to increase the quality of health care and decrease costs. Equipped with nationally-renowned data, our speakers help audiences navigate uncertainty by bringing insight into current delivery system transformation trends and what specific steps organizations can take to thrive in the evolving landscape.
  • Policy Perspectives on Health Care: The politics of 2017’s ACA repeal and replace effort have shifted the national dialogue on health care. While repeal legislation is unlikely, the Trump administration is equipped to deploy various regulatory, administrative, and legislative strategies where possible. Our D.C. experts will examine how such strategies, along with other congressional action, will continue to impact the way care is delivered and how industry leaders can thrive amid uncertainty.
  • Improving Health, From Prevention to Management: From prevention, to financing, to care management, the role of governments in shaping health care is coming into focus. Amid uncertainty about the sustainability of health care and health care reform, the federal government and states continue to pursue solutions to address these challenges. Our policy experts provide insight into how states and private entities are finding solutions that increase access, improve quality, decrease cost, and address social determinants of health.
