Adam Toronto
Adam Toronto serves as a Director at Leavitt Partners, where he oversees internal company operations including human resources, accounting, information systems, management and legal functions.
Mr. Toronto joined Leavitt Partners after serving as Deputy Director of Advance for Secretary Michael O. Leavitt at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In that role, he managed domestic and international Secretarial travel campaigns for departmental initiatives such as Value Driven Health Care, Import Safety, Electronic Health Records and Health Diplomacy. He was also part of a cabinet-wide team that organized two rounds of the Strategic Economic Dialogue between the U.S. and China, involving 10 U.S. Cabinet members and Chinese counterparts.
Mr. Toronto also served in the Office of the Chief of Staff at HHS, under Rich McKeown. He supported Mr. McKeown in overseeing public policy and operational aspects of the largest civilian department of the federal government with a staff of 67,000 and a budget of $740 billion.
Mr. Toronto graduated from the University of Utah with degrees in political science and economics. Currently, he is pursuing a master’s in business administration, also from the University of Utah.
