Adam Toronto is Assistant Vice President of Administration at Leavitt Partners. Founded by former U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary and EPA Administrator Michael O. Leavitt, Leavitt Partners advises clients in the practice areas of health, environment and trade. As Assistant Vice President of Administration, Toronto is part of a team that helps clients enter new markets, enhance the value of their products, navigate dynamic regulatory and reimbursement systems and improve health conditions around the world.

Toronto joined Leavitt Partners after serving as Deputy Director of Advance for Secretary Michael O. Leavitt at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In that role, he managed domestic and international Secretarial travel campaigns for departmental initiatives such as Value Driven Health Care, Import Safety, Electronic Health Records and Health Diplomacy. He was also part of a cabinet-wide team that organized two rounds of the Strategic Economic Dialogue between the U.S. and China, involving 10 U.S. Cabinet members and Chinese counterparts. In the course of these interactions, Toronto developed relationships with government officials and private business leaders in over 25 U.S. states and foreign countries including China, India, and Iraq.

During his time at HHS, Toronto also served in the Office of the Chief of Staff, under Rich McKeown. He supported Mr. McKeown in overseeing public policy and operational aspects of the largest civilian department of the federal government with a staff of 67,000 and a budget of $740 billion.

Prior to his government service, Toronto was Political Director of the Salt Lake County Republican Party, where he helped increase caucus participation by 25%.

Toronto graduated from the University of Utah with degrees in Political Science and Economics. He and his wife Jenny reside in Salt Lake City and are parents to three children.
