Health Reform Bill is 90% Access and 10% Cost

Leavitt Partners Chairman, Governor Mike Leavitt, shared his views on health reform in an in-depth interview with Salt Lake City’s NBC affiliate, KSL TV. During the interview, Leavitt stated his belief that the recently passed legislation will impact nearly every facet of our society.

When asked to sum up the bill he said, “This bill is ninety percent about helping people get insurance and ten percent about dealing with escalating costs.” Leavitt, who opposed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, expressed his belief that the bill focused on the wrong problem.
